Josh Beech, born in 1987, in Biggin Hill, London, is a British model and musician. Passionate about music from a very early age, Beech started playing keyboard at 10 and guitar at 13. After attending school in Biggin Hill, he became an apprentice at Tanglewood - a British company famous for its state-of-the art acoustic guitars. He later enrolled in a Music Technology course at London's Hammersmith College. Josh started to sing at 16, because he "didn't know anyone else who could sing and wanted to start a band'. His first, short lived, venture was a cover band imaginatively called Cacophony. It was followed by two other groups, Cahli and Southpaw, which featured Matt and John - future fellow members of his current band Snish.
Never too far from music, after college Beech got a job with Virgin Megastores, selling metal CDs and promoting new bands. Beech was scouted by Models 1 at the 1234 festival in Shoreditch, London in 2007. The first booking was for "Burberry" - a campaign that famously lines up emerging musical talent from the British scene. Simultaneous bookings by "Dazed and Confused", "Vogue Hommes International" and "Levi's 501 Jeans" - for which Josh has shot a record 3rd consecutive print and digital campaign - consolidated his reputation. His other clients include "Valentino", "Vivienne Westwood", "Fujiwara" and "Topman", amongst others. Despite worldwide fame and ever expanding fan listings on the Internet, music remains Josh's main focus. Josh's musical influences are rooted in rock - he names The Deftones, The Beatles, The Chariot, Mastodon, Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley, Incubus Radiohead, Maccabees and Nirvana as sources of inspiration.
